Any donation from overseas can be sent via Telegraphic Transfer
to the
account mentioned. The online payment gateway will be launched for
this purpose within a few weeks.
Any local funded Rs contribution can be sent by cash or cheque
directly to Warden. These need to be with a covering note requesting credit to the
Chapel
Fund. A receipt will be given by STC for these funds.
If a cheque is being presented, these cheques needs to be drawn
in
favour
of "S.Thomas College Chapel Renovation Fund A/c No. 0610009441."
Any one else can directly deposit money to the credit of HNB Bank
Account
Number 0610009441.
Please forward a letter with the deposit slip to the Warden for
information purposes and for purposes of inclusion of their names on
the donors list on the website.
Foreign Currency Remittances
An Old Boy or well-wisher may purchase a Bond or make a contribution towards the Fund through the Payment Gateway or by TT or by way of sending in a Bank draft by mail addressed to Warden S.Thomas College.
Such Bank drafts can be drawn in favour of : "S.Thomas College Chapel Renovation Fund".
Purchase of Bonds
Funds must be sent in ONLY by Cheque and only to the Warden or to
a member of the Committee tasked with sale of Bonds.
In all instances, STC will issue a receipt acknowledging funds.
A Bond will be issued only after realisation of Funds. These bonds will carry the original signature of the Warden.
The Special Events Sub Team for Bond Sales and Finance Manager of
STC together will jointly maintain a Bond Issued Register.
This register will disclose name of donor/benefactor and value of funds.
The
Register will be physically retained with the Finance Manager of College. This register can be inspected by anyone with a prior appointment
after clearance is obtained from either Sub Warden or Warden.
Tax Benefit
If any donor needs to obtain Tax benefits, then a specific letter
needs to be addressed to the Warden and the cheque must be drawn in favour of the"
S.Thomas College Board of Governors on account of Chapel Renovation Fund."
Monies so received will be credited by the Board of Governors to the
Chapel
Renovation Fund account and the necessary documentation will be
issued by the Board of Governors. Receipts will also be issued by
the Board of Governors.
Credit for these monies will be reflected on the Web site ONLY after
such funds are credited to the Chapel Renovation Fund account.
