The Chapel of the Transfiguration was re-dedicated on the 7th of December, after an extensive restoration of the roof and ceiling, refurbishment of worn-out carpets, maintenance work on building, colour washing of interior, new sound systems and lighting systems.

The Funds raised as at the beginning of December amounted to approx Rs 21.4 Mn, of which the cost of the events for raising of funds plus the cost of renovation and restoration referred to above amounts to Rs 18 Mn.as at this stage.

Any surplus funds will be retained in an exclusive Chapel Renovation Account for use only for the Chapel.

A full scope Audit of the fund raising and expenses has been made by Ms Ernst & Young, who were specially appointed as Chapel Fund Project Auditors.

-omian Architect experts, place on record our very sincere THANK YOU to all Old Thomians, Families, well wishes of the school and all other contributors for the love and commitment shown towards restoring the single most valuable building of the College.

The Chapel was re-dedicated with a very emotional and moving service in the morning of the 7th and followed by the Annual Carol service that evening, which by all accounts was a truly magnificient performance by the College Music Presentor/ Choir Director and the College Choir.

The Carol service not only made the contributions of all concerned worth every effort, as the level of veneration and magnificience of the singing, truly glorified our Lord and had many Old Thomians who were present being very emotional that morning and evening.
